OUR HISTORY
Raise The Balloon.com is a public participation platform, formed in 2014 to boost widespread community awareness of Mayor Faulconer’s campaign to update our community plans under his Climate Action Plan (CAP).We believe that more San Diegans need to weigh in on the increases of density and housing policy guidelines forced upon us by state mandates through Regional Housing Needs Allocations and a current Mayor, City Council and state legislature succumbing to developer backed attempts to seize local control of housing decisions and attempts to limit community input through exisitng Community Planning Groups. There are both seen and unseen consequences to these policies that are not being considered or understood by residents of San Diego.
