I moved to San Diego in 1983 and worked for Century 21 in Clairemont. By 1987, I obtained my Corporate Real Estate License and went into business for myself, owning and operating a successful mortgage origination and real estate sales company, JL Moneyine, INC.
Since 1987, I’ve successfully closed over 457 home sales in Riverside and San Diego Counties.
In 2016, I joined Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties in La Jolla as an Associate Broker. I wanted to gain insight and new marketing skills from one of the nation’s largest real estate corporations. After three years of intensive study, I gained the tools I needed to compete as an Independant Broker.
I re-opened my own brokerage in 2019 in La Jolla after three decades of experience in both the real estate sales and lending industries.
Two Essential Businesses
In 1991, I decided to add mortgage origination to my portfolio and joined GMAC Mortgage Division as a Senior Loan Consultant. Within 12 months, I won the “Top Producer” award as an Account Representative in the Builder Business Division/ New Construction. I originated over 1600 loans for homebuyers purchasing from national home builders operating in Riverside and San Diego Counties, such as KB Homes, Woodcrest, K. Hovnanian Homes, and others. I became proficient in customer retention during an upwardly rising interest rate environment when delivery of homes was six months or more from contract start dates to closing on finished homes. By 1996, I created a second corporation, JL Moneyline, Inc, processing loans in-house and learned FNMA, VA, andFHA loan guidelines. With the advantage of financing the same homes that I sold, I beat my competition in faster and more successful closings.
This volunteer work has provided a networking system that reaches countywide that current social media marketing cannot reach. Upon listing your property with me, I will create a four-week marketing plan that insures your home will be sold for top dollar in the least amount of time.
